Efesan Group, whose foundation was laid through the contracting services by Suleyman Efe, started operations in the industries with the rolling mill established in 1972. With Turgut Efe joining, by following the necessities of the time very closely, Efesan Group expanded operations further with its investments in casting, logistics and the port industries, real estate development and construction industries, corresponding with its growth and development targets.
After 2010, Efesan Demir Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was founded in 1985. Efesan Demir, distinguished by its experience in producing flat and ribbed rebars and competitive capacity in the hot iron rolling mill, concentrated its operations in line with the expectations of the market; i.e. the production and sales of iron cutting (for columns), steel mesh, stirrup, pent bar and iron square production. Later on, Efesan Demir introduced two new brands in order to provide better service to construction and machine industry; FRR for bearing housings and STI for scaffolding formworks accessories.
In order to gather all its real estate investments under a single roof and constitute a value-creating real estate company in the industry; Efesan Group founded Efektif Gayrimenkul Geliştirme ve Yatırım A.Ş. in 2005. Efektif Real Estate which aims to realize successful projects with its existing land portfolio and ongoing initiatives.
Within the context of the executive determination for growth; Ferro Döküm Sanayi ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. was acquired from Şişecam Group and merged into Efesan Group in 2007. Being one of the leading companies in the casting sector in Turkey and having all ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 (TSE), ISO 9001:2000 ve TS 16949 (DQS) ve Q1:2007 (FORD) quality credentials; Ferro Döküm manufactures parts ranging from 03 to 120 kilograms for automotive, machinery, electrical and construction industries. Following its incorporation into Efesan Group, Ferro Döküm brought innovations into its investments and development strategy and increased its productions to 80.000 tons/year with its new structural investments in 2012 and 2014.
Efesan Group acquired EfesanPort in 2008 by buying all shares, with the view that the importance of logistics and port management will gradually increase in Turkey. Operating in Dilovası, Gebze and providing services for all kinds of dry and bulk cargo handling; EfesanPort has been working with the aim of offering the best service to its customers by means of not only its equipment but also its specialized and experienced staff on a 24/7 basis. “International Ship and Port Facility Security Codes” of International Maritime Organization are followed at EfesanPort, which has the capacity to handle more than 3 million tons dry and bulk cargo annually. Efesan Port started to provide services for RO-RO ships and made significant progress in Auto-Port activities as well. “Automobile Storage Center”, which has a storage capacity of 6,500 vehicles simultaneously and 230,000 vehicles annually, and licensed as Bonded Temporary Storage Area, was completed and engaged in service in 2014. It is the first part of EfesanPort Logistic Hub that was built for the logistics and auto port services. Project studies related to the second part of the Logistic Hub started in 2015.
Founded in 2009, the core business of Efeska İnşaat Taahhüt Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is construction and contracting. The major objective of Efeska is the construction of art and cultural centers, touristic structures, medical facilities, administrative buildings and housings in both the domestic and the international construction market; as well as carrying out the restoration and renovation works of Istanbul’s ancient structures and adding a variety of exclusive and high quality structures to the cultural life. The turnkey reconstruction works of the service and residence buildings of the Embassy of Mongolia, are included in the projects carried out by Efeska. By a decision taken in order to gather all its construction and real estate activities under a single roof; Efeska was merged with Efektif Gayrimenkul Geliştirme ve Yatırım.
In order to provide a much more professional service to its customers; in 2010, Efesan Group formed a partnership with Şesan Yedek Parça A.Ş., which is located at Gebze Taysan Organized Industrial Zone. Şesan, being fully acquired with all its shares and rights by Efesan Group in June, 2014; was merged with Efesan Demir Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. in 2018 in order to provide a perfect solution partnership to its customers by focusing completely on machining, in line with the strategic vision of the group. Boosting targets both in terms of the industries it operates in and its production and sales capacities; Şesan was then revisioned as a brand and broke new ground with the name Efesan Machining.
